PAS2080 is the globally recognised standard for managing carbon in infrastructure and the built environment. By aligning our operations with this framework, we are enabling customers to better baseline, assess, and reduce carbon emissions across their projects.

Speedy Hire have been awarded EcoVadis Gold, placing us in the top 5% of companies globally for sustainability and in the top 2% of businesses in the UK for decarbonisation readiness.
Speedy Hire has improved its CDP rating, achieving A-, placing us in the Leadership band. For context, the Europe regional average is B-, and the average score for the trading, wholesale, distribution, rental and leasing sector is C. We also received a CDP A for supplier engagement on climate change.
Speedy’s Net- Zero carbon targets have been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), the global gold standard for Net-Zero. The SBTi has approved: 1) Our near-term targets to reduce our carbon emissions across our vehicle fleet and property estate by 50% and our supply chain by 42% by 2030. 2) Our long-term target to reduce our carbon emissions by at least 90% across our vehicle fleet, property estate and our supply to achieve Net-Zero by 2040. Speedy is now the first in UK Hire to have its Net-Zero targets validated to the most ambitious designation available through the SBTi process and joins the Race to Net Zero and Business Ambition for 1.5oC.
Our GHG data is externally verified and audited by Hydrock to ISO14064-1. The lead verifier who undertook this work has gone through training of ISO14064-3 (certificate was provided to Speedy within the verification pack) and under a 3 stage process consistent with ISO17025. This enables us to make effective decisions, comply with relevant law, rules and regulations whilst meeting the needs of our external stakeholders.
