Speedy Hire has been awarded a prestigious rating of A- in the Carbon Disclosure Programme, up from the previous score of B just a year prior.

This achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication to Speedy's sustainability goals, environmental transparency, science-based targets, data, and reporting.

Commitment to meaningful and measurable environmental action is more critical than ever, which is why Speedy disclosed through CDP in 2023. Along with 23,000+ companies, we are harnessing the power of our data through transparency and accountability to set a course for a sustainable future.

What is a CDP Score?

A CDP score provides a snapshot of a company's disclosure and environmental performance. Companies awarded an A or A- are classed as 'Leadership' quality.

According to the CDP website, to earn an A/A- score from CDP, organisations must:

"...show environmental leadership, disclosing action on climate change, deforestation or water security. They must demonstrate best practices in strategy and action as recognized by frameworks such as the TCFD, Accountability Framework and others. As well as having high scores in all other levels, these companies will have undertaken actions such as setting science-based targets, creating a climate transition plan, developing water-related risk assessment strategies, or reporting on deforestation impact for all relevant operations, supply chains and commodities."

Speedy is committed to data transparency as part of the Decade to Deliver plan. Ambitious targets to reach net zero emissions by 2040, 10 years ahead of the government deadline, are in place, along with clear steps to reduce Scope 1 & 2 emissions by 50% and Scope 3 emissions by 42% by 2030.
