Speedy Hire Wins Prestigious Construction News Award

Speedy Hire, the UK’s leading plant and tool hire supplier, was crowned the inspirational winner of Carbon Reduction Champion at the 2024 Construction News Awards on Thursday 11 July at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London.

The Construction News Awards, celebrating its 28th year in 2024, brought together 1,200 of the UK’s leading clients and contractors for a glittering evening of celebration, recognition and networking.

After a face-to-face review by a panel of 100+ expert judges, Speedy Hire won in recognition of its outstanding carbon reduction performance.

The judges said:

“Speedy Hire had significant evidence to demonstrate its standout performance in driving down carbon emissions in the indsutry. Its holistic approach, clear cultural change internally, and its influence in the industry in making hiring the norm in the construction sector to support carbon reduction at the forefront was clear. Speedy Hire’s succesful efforts, with circular economy in mind, demonstrated innovations and initiatives it is undertaking aligned with clear plans to extend its company ESG efforts to impact supply chain.”
