Speedy Hire has joined The Social Recruitment Advocacy Group (SRAG), which facilitates the collaboration of like-minded organisations to address societal challenges and needs.

Speedy Hire was awarded gold member status due to its record of achievement in social value.

The Social Recruitment Advocacy Group was convened by PeoplePlus, a leading organisation in the core creation of social value, in 2022. It is chaired by the Rt. Hon. Anne Milton and facilitates the collaboration of like-minded organisations to address societal challenges and needs – an alignment of over 70 organisations and employers who recognise the value of social recruitment.

The Group addresses employment barrier themes and harnesses its collective power to tackle these issues. Enabling employers to meet their recruitment needs through previously untapped talent pools and supporting people and communities, who have been previously overlooked in the job market. The SRAG promotes collaboration, knowledge sharing, and support, creating a social movement for lasting change.

Speedy Hire is on a mission to lead the industry in creating profound change for those who need support into work. It recently became the first in the hire industry to work with the organisation Bright Futures to create job opportunities for victims of modern slavery. To support this, Speedy Hire held a session promoting its involvement with Bright Futures at the company’s major industry event ‘Speedy Expo Live’, where speakers Misha Macaskill, Bright Future Co-op Manager at Causeway and Ilja Abbattista, a courageous modern slavery survivor and Causeway ambassador, talked about how organisations like Speedy Hire can build a lasting, safe careers for victims, enabling them to reach their potential in a business which understands their past experience and what they want to achieve.
