GO Initiative

We are delighted to introduce the first independently assessed range of products that reduce cost, carbon and environmental impact.

Our customers have asked us to help them make more informed product decisions with regard to carbon and energy efficiency. Therefore, with the help and support of key suppliers, we have created the Green Range of products and commissioned an independent product assessment and evaluation process which we have called the GO Initiative.

The Green Range

We have identified and assessed products that offer real environmental benefits from a simple Plant Guard that prevents fuel spillage, to clever battery operated technology that saves energy, or the EnviroCabin which is over 88% more energy efficient than a standard cabin. All assessed products are identified with a GO (Green Option) leaf symbol.

The GO Initiative

ERM have been appointed to undertake the ongoing product assessments and evaluation process. The assessment measures carbon footprint, including the amount of carbon involved in use and the materials used in manufacture, energy efficiency and environmental impact.

Product ratings through GO Credits

The assessed product is evaluated by ERM on a 100 point Environmental Impact Matrix and this is expressed on a scale of 1 to 10 as 'GO' Credits. A summary of the essential information appears as a pie chart in catalogues and online and is useful in tender submissions and CSR reporting as evidence of your efforts to reduce cost, carbon and environmental impact.
